Big enough to protect,
small enough to care.

Our company, founded in 1975, is led by the second generation of the Ladd family. Headquartered in Exton, PA, a suburb of Philadelphia, and have a branch office (sales, installation and service) in South Plainfield, NJ and Richmond, VA. From these bases, we are able to service the entire Mid-Atlantic Region (PA, NJ, VA, DE, MD, NY). Utilizing our business partners in "Security-Net" and PSA, we are pleased to expand our coverage nationwide.

We take special pride in being a UL Listed fire alarm installation company and the fact that we operate our own Central Monitoring Station at our headquarters. We believe the security of our clients is too important to farm out or sub-contract to others. Exceptional performance requires each employee to work together cohesively toward a common goal of client satisfaction. In order to provide quality service along with advanced technology, The Protection Bureau has revolutionized the process of true end-to-end security.

Remembering Keith Ladd

Every now and then we take time to remind ourselves how we started, how far we’ve come, and pay tribute to our founder, Keith Ladd who passed in 2009.

Keith was a veteran security industry leader, our founder and CEO. He started this business along with his wife, Mary in 1975. The company has since grown to be consistently ranked one of the top 10 security integrators in the Mid-Atlantic region with headquarters and a central monitoring station in Exton, PA. and offices in South Plainfield, NJ, DE and Richmond, VA.

Ladd was instrumental in the founding and a past president of the Eastern Pennsylvania Burglar and Fire Alarm Association and was an active member of ASIS, NSCA and NBFAA, among many other security industry organizations.

J. Matthew Ladd, president of The Protection Bureau, said his father will be remembered for his kind and generous spirit and a willingness to serve his community and strong business ethics.

“We are grateful for the way he enriched our lives,” he said.
